The Vision Mātauranga programme builds Māori resilience capability, partnerships, knowledge and influence. It is designed to move Māori from participation in resilience science, to leadership within the resilience system.
Data and Enabling Technologies
In the face of ever-increasing challenges driven by climate change, it has never been more important to reduce our risks from natural hazards. We can accelerate these efforts by turning to new technologies.
funding grants
These grants were designed to retain essential capability in the natural hazards and resilience research system, and make progress on priority work during the Platform's establishment phase.
The projects all support students, post-doctoral positions and other early career researchers.
Following the Severe Wind Event in October 2025, we funded five projects looking at 1) people’s responses to severe weather warnings and watches, and 2) social and economic impacts of infrastructure disruption.
